United metals are based in Limerick City. They are one of the largest metal recycling companies in the country, based along the Dock Road in Limerick, and as such, they are very visible to the public.

United metals were looking for a solution that would solve a noise-related environmental issue and also an aesthetic issue. JPK designed and installed a steel fencing on top astride a concrete base of over 4.8 in height, which acted as a noise barrier and also looks good on the side of a very busy public road.
